Divemaster Internships

The PADI Divemaster internship route is one of two choices that you can make on the road to becoming a PADI Professional. They both lead to the same certification, but with one small (but very big) difference. PADI Divemaster interns work with real students and certified divers. The non- internship route mostly simulates students and certified divers. As a PADI Divemaster in training (DMT), you want to make sure that you get off to the best start with your dive career and we have dedicated staff to take you on this amazing journey. 

We offer 3 different kind of Divemaster internship. Varying from 1 month up to 3 months. Our pro internships are designed to allow all levels of divers, as well as non-divers to train to become dive professionals at a pace that suits you! Just contact using the contact form for any other questions

1 month internship for rescue divers

1 month Divemaster Internship
This PADI Divemaster internship teaches you to be a leader and take charge of dive activities. Through knowledge development sessions, water skills exercises and workshops, and hands-on practical assessment, you develop the skills to organize and direct a variety of scuba diving activities. 

Working closely with a mentor, you’ll fine-tune your dive skills, refine your rescue skills and easily learn how to solve common problems. You’ll gain dive knowledge, management and supervision abilities so you become a role model to divers everywhere. You'll also learn about all aspects of diving and develop leadership abilities you'll need to supervise dive activities, assist instructors with student divers and earn respect as a responsible dive professional.

You'll complete water skills and stamina exercises in confined and open water and training exercises to improve your organizational and problem solving abilities. 

During this month you will first focus on your training and after that get real-life, hands-on, once in a life time experience

What is included:

1 month experience internship for Divemaster

Working closely with your mentor,  you’ll fine-tune your dive skills even more. Gain experience in leading guided dives, leading refresher dives, assisting on multiple courses and conduct adventures dives under the indirect supervision of a PADI Instructor

 

Including in your internship will be the DSD Leader program. This includes conducting four separate real (not simulated) PADI Discover Scuba Diving programs in confined water under the direct supervision of a PADI Instructor. DSD Leader candidates show their ability to conduct effective briefings, in-water supervision and debriefings. After this you are certified to take participant on a 2:1 ratio on their first confined water dive.

If you are already a certified Divemaster, but want to add some work experience to your resume, this is your internship!

2 month internship for Open Water Divers

This 2 month internship gives you a head start! The first month you will focus on all the recreational courses and get your dive experience to a higher level. We start to take you will take it to the next level by becoming an Advanced Open Water Diver. After about 20 dives into your career we challenge you a bit more, by teaching you the most rewarding recreational course, the PADI rescue course. Learn more about help others, where in the two other course the focus is more on yourself. The next month you get to change to become a PADI professional. Through knowledge development sessions, water skills exercises and workshops, and hands-on practical assessment, you develop the
skills to organize and direct a variety of scuba diving activities.

You’ll gain dive knowledge, management and supervision abilities so you become a role model to divers everywhere. You will go from the Advanced Open Water Course all the way to the PADI Divemaster. You will be working closely with a mentor, you’ll fine-tune your dive skills, refine your rescue skills and easily learn how to solve common problems.

Instructor Internships

The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is made out of two parts – the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program. Most dive professionals complete the entire IDC . Next to that you will also do the Emergency First Response Instructor course. 

The New Revised PADI IDC Course has an even better focus on real-life teaching. Learn how to give Knowledge development teaching presentations, Confined water presentations, Open water presentations. 1 Month Instructor Development Inernship

Your Instructor Development Course is getting close. The chances are you’re feeling a little excited and nervous. You're counting down the days until you can start, but what to expect? No worries, with this internship we will prepare you to be ready and rock this course! 

Upon arrival we will start you off with both the Dive Division IDC Prep Course and Dive Division EFR Prep Course! It could be that your have been a Divemaster for years or just became a Divemaster, but during the Dive Division IDC Prep Course you and your mentor will revise your theory knowledge and revise your open water dive skills and rescue skills. The Division EFR Prep Course is to prepare
you and update your knowledge about the theory and independent study part of this course. Then you can start preparing with your IDC eLearning. Sixteen interactive presentations, where you
learn how to use the PADI system, the different courses you can teach, risk management and how to
give teaching presentations. This allows in the classroom more time to have hands-on practice and workshops.

During your IDC you will learn more about giving knowledge development teaching presentations, confined water presentations, open water presentations and again look at your dive theory and standards & procedures.

By the time the IE comes along you are more than ready! A PADI Examiner will be flown in and you can do your 2-days of exams.

3 Month Divemaster, Instructor & MSDT internship

After the Divemaster course we continue to prep courses. The Dive Division IDC Prep Course is for you. So you and your mentor will revise your theory knowledge and revise your open water dive skills and rescue skills one more time before the IDC start. The Division EFR Prep Course is to prepare you and update your knowledge about the theory and independent study part of this course. Then you can start preparing with your IDC eLearning. Sixteen interactive presentations, where you learn how to use the PADI system, the different courses you can teach, risk management and how to give teaching presentations. This allows in the classroom more time to have hands-on practice and workshops. During your IDC you will learn more about giving knowledge development teaching presentations, confined water presentations, open water presentations and again look at your dive theory and
standards & procedures. Until you are ready for your IE and passing this will be easy peasy. Then we can start the team-teaching. You and your mentor will go teach different kind of courses.

You get to see how a course runs, the logistics part of it and get to teach more and more. You'll get the teaching credit and will certify a minimum of 25 divers under your name. In the mean time you will also learn how to teach 5 different kind of PADI specialties. We can advise
you which specialties are valuable, but also your personal opinion in what you would like to teach is important to us.
You will be leaving us after a great experience, a killer resume and some real-life work experience.
